The club was also awarded with a Rotary Presidential and Governor’s citations, the press release stated.

More than 20 Rotary Club members were also recognized for their work.

Library has shorter hours

The Porter Branch of the Rappahannock Regional Library in North Stafford will close at 5:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays and will be closed every Sunday because of budget cuts. The new schedule began last week.

Despite reviving additional operating funds, the agency says it did not get enough operating funds to staff the libraries during these time periods, according to the organization’s Web site.

The Headquarters Library on Caroline Street in Fredericksburg will also close Tuesdays and Thursday nights, and on Sundays.

Dress like a cow and get free chicken

Chick-fil-A in Woodbridge on Friday will give away free meals to those who come dressed “from head to hoof” in a cow costume.

Anyone who makes an attempt to dress like a cow will get a free sandwich, according to a restaurant spokeswoman.

The eatery is located off Prince William Parkway near Potomac Mills.
