Diane Elaine (Heady) Dingle, 65, of Dale City, passed away on July 23, 2021.
Diane Elaine (Heady) Dingle was born on May 1, 1956, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Laura and Wayne Heady. She graduated from high school in Wheaton, Illinois, and continued on to receive a Bachelor’s Degree from Texas Christian University.
Diane met Dennis Dingle at TCU and they were married on June 17, 1978. Diane was a selfless and supportive Army spouse for more than 29 years at locations around the world. She was currently active in various activities at First United Presbyterian Church of Dale City, Virginia.
Diane is preceded in death by her father, Wayne Heady. Diane will be lovingly remembered by her mother, Laura Heady; her husband, Dennis, of 43 years; Son Clayton and his wife, Jessica, Crosby (4), and Caleb (1); daughter Erin Slobodian and husband, Dan, Evelyn (2); Son, Kyle; and by her sisters, Daneen and Doug Hansen and family, and Janet and Ken Graves and family.
Diane was devoted to and greatly loved by her family. She was kind, thoughtful, sweet, generous, and loving. She found great joy in taking care of others. She loved baking and sharing the treats she made with her family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to ACTION in Community Through Service (ACTS) of Prince William County, www.actspwc.org in memory of Diane Dingle.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held July 31 at 4:00 pm at First United Presbyterian Church of Dale City, Virginia 14391 Minnieville Road, Woodbridge, Virginia 22193. A reception will follow the service.
There will be Family service held at a separate time.
On Saturday, July 24 2021, Conrad James Cote joined his wife Toshiko in the Kingdom of God.
Conrad was born in Skowhegan, Maine on Thanksgiving morning November 24th, 1938. During his 82 years on this Earth, he was married to Toshiko Cote. He is survived by children Simone and Edward, Marybeth (daughter-n-law), and his grandchildren, Natalie and Liam.
First Generation American born Son of Lawrence and Lillian Cote and brother of Lawrence. He was born in Skowhegan, Maine and grew up in Madison, Maine.
He was an accomplished All-State athlete in Basketball, Cross Country, Track and Field. His Long Jump, Broad Jump, and Javelin records were held for over 50 years before being broken.
Conrad joined the U.S. Navy after High School. While in Germany, Conrad played basketball for several years ranking as a top 10 power forward with a traveling Navy Basketball team playing throughout Europe. After transferring to the Pacific Fleet during the post-reconstruction era in Japan he was recruited to play basketball for the Navy in Asia.
It was during this time he caught the eye of his wife Toshiko. Chief Conrad James Cote survived 2 tours in Vietnam and exposure to Agent Orange, ultimately serving 25 years in the U.S. Navy, retiring honorably. He has since been a lifetime member of VFW Post 1503 in Dale City, Virginia.
Conrad and Toshiko enjoyed playing in multiple bowling leagues. He scored the perfect game several times and carried his game average above 250 for most of his playing years. Conrad dedicated his time being active in Boy Scouts. He achieved Eagle Scout in 1954.
Conrad raised his son in the Boy Scouts and was the Scout Master for Troop 1363 in Woodbridge, Virginia for a decade where he produced over a dozen Eagle Scouts. Conrad was an active volunteer at the Dumfries Triangle Fire Department stretching multiple decades. He was very active in his grandchildren’s life.
He was constantly traveling to Illinois to attend their sporting events. Even when he couldn’t attend he was diligent in finding a way to view online. He was a loving and generous Friend, Father and Grandfather and will be missed.
A viewing in Memoriam of his Life will be held at Miller’s Funeral Home, in Woodbridge, 6-8pm, on Thursday, July 29, 2021.
Richard Albert Zborofsky, 77, of Manassas, Virginia, passed away on July 21, 2021.
Richard was born in Windber, Pennsylvania to Adolph and Mary Zborofsky on December 30, 1943. He went to school at Lee High School, Springfield, VA. He married Linda Joyce Newkirk on June 27, 1970 in Springfield, Massachusetts. He graduated from Virginia Tech. He worked as an Electronics Engineer at Naval Research Labs for 33 years. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, served in the Army, was awarded the Good Conduct Medal and the National Defense Service Medal. He was involved in Ham Radio, woodworking, and model trains.
Richard is preceded in death by his father, Adolph Victor Zborofsky.
Richard is survived by his wife, Linda, his daughter, Lara Ann Wyer, his sons, Richard Brice Zborofsky and Richard Aaron Zborofsky, and his daughter-in-law Carey Marie Zborofsky. He is also survived by his mother, Mary Toki Zborofsky, and his six grandchildren, Claire Ruth Zborofsky, Augustus George Zborofsky, Charles Albert Zborofsky, Hannah Marie Brumfield, Kenley Grace Wyer, and Aiden James Wyer.
Memorials may be given to the Glioblastoma Foundation. The family of Richard Albert Zborofsky wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the doctors at the Schar Cancer Institute, the personnel at INOVA Home Health, and the personnel of Capital Care Hospice.
