Didlake Inc. will own and operate a new UPS Store at Stonebridge at Potomac Town Center.
The store is the first for the non-profit that specializes in helping disabled residents find work. It is one of only six of 4,400 UPS stores in the U.S. that is owned and operated by a non-profit organization.
Didlake officials based outside Manassas heralded the store opening as an “unprecedented occasion,” and said the store located near Wegmans grocery store is expected to build a steady business.
The store opened during the height of the Christmas shipping season.
“The season is right for this kind of store to be right and ready to go,” said Prince William Chamber CEO Debbie Jones.
A ribbon cutting was held Monday on the sidewalk in front of the store.
The store also offers printing and mailbox services, in addition to shipping.
