News Truck Driver Evaluated for Electrocution after Potomac Shores Crash
PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. — A driver of a tractor trailer was possibly electrocuted this afternoon.
Fire and rescue crews were called to the area of River Heritage and Potomac Shores boulevards, outside Potomac Shores near Dumfries, after a truck ran into a low hanging power line just before 4 p.m., according to initial reports.
First responders evaluating the patient said he was possibly electrocuted. A helicopter was called to the fly the victim to Washington Med-Star Hospital.
A caller to 911 told emergency officials an explosion could be heard following the crash.
Crews from Dominion Virginia Power have also been called to the scene.Send news and photos to Potomac Local
