Truck Driver Evaluated for Electrocution after Potomac Shores Crash

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. – A driver of a tractor trailer was possibly electrocuted this afternoon.
Fire and rescue crews were called to the area of River Heritage and Potomac Shores boulevards, outside Potomac Shores near Dumfries, after a truck ran into a low hanging power line just before 4 p.m., according to initial reports.
First responders evaluating the patient said he was possibly electrocuted. A helicopter was called to the fly the victim to Washington Med-Star Hospital.
A caller to 911 told emergency officials an explosion could be heard following the crash.
Crews from Dominion Virginia Power have also been called to the scene.
