On November 29th at 11:20PM, police responded to a residence located in the 4500 block of Torrence Pl in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a burglary.

A caller reported police that a ladder was laying against the rear of his neighbor’s residence. The homeowner arrived at the residence as officers were arriving.

Officers checked the residence and discovered marijuana, suspected cocaine, and prescription medications. There were no signs of forced entry into the home. Entry is believed to have been made through an unsecured 3rd story window.

Following the investigation, the homeowner, identified as the accused, was arrested. The investigation into the burglary continues.

A watch, valued around $3,000, was reported missing. This incident does not appear to be random.

This story is in need of a rewrite. It sounds like the homeowner was locked out of his own house so he used a ladder to climb in a window. Neighbor calls the police thinking a burglary is in progress. Police arrive and search the house, even though a burglary has not occurred, and that is when they find all the homeowner’s drugs.
