Rocket Launch from Virginia’s Wallops Island Visible from our Area

A Minotaur rocket was launched from Wallops Island on Virginia's eastern shore by NASA and the U.S. Air Force in a test flight the night of Nov. 19, 2013, at approximately 8:15 p.m. The launch was easily seen from Aquia Harbour's marina where multiple residents gathered to watch. Even clouds couldn't block the red glow of the rocket from over 100 miles away. Photo by: KJ Mushung
