Overnight Thieves Target 6 North Stafford Shops

NORTH STAFFORD, Va. — Who smashed and grabbed cash from six businesses in North Stafford in the overnight hours Friday?

Stafford County authorities were alerted to the string of vandalism and thefts when an alarm was triggered inside a deli on Tech Parkway, just off Va. 610, about 3 a.m. Next to the deli, a hair salon was also hit.

Two other businesses on Dunn Drive at the Doc Stone shopping center, and two others on Mine Road were also burglarized. In each case, vandals smashed glass, went inside, and then took undisclosed amounts of cash, said Stafford sheriff’s spokesman Bill Kennedy.

No injuries were reported, and all of the businesses were closed at the time of the incidents.

Kennedy said an investigation is ongoing.
