Dumfries Family Headed to Spanish Mackerel Tournament

The Special Angler Foundation is pleased to announce that the Spanish Mackerel have made their way into our local waters and to date six Special Anglers have registered to participate in the Lancaster County Little League Spanish Mackerel Tournament this coming August 24.

The first three Special Angler registrants are from one family, the Dietrichsons. Through generous corporate and private sponsorship of the Liquid Assets II charter service, the entire Dietricshson family will be on board with Captain Billy Pipkin and Special Angler Ambassador Travis Smith.

The Dietrichsons will be competing together as a family for the $600 Special Angler purse in addition to the youth award, lady angler award, and the general boat category awards.

Doug and Jacque Dietrichson live in Dumfries  and have four  children. Jessica, 14, Eric, 12, Gabe, 10, and Susannah, 9. Jessica, Eric and Gabe all have Autism. Doug and Jacque keep the kids active as much as possible in a variety of activities, like running clubs, challenger baseball, a local swim team, youth orchestra, snow skiing, and Awanas Bible Club.

Jessica loves art, writing stories and music. Eric is an aspiring movie maker and loves to tinker with video cameras. Gabe loves video games & swimming and skiing. Susannah enjoys sports, reading and playing with her siblings. The children have not done extensive fishing but are looking forward to this awesome experience.
