McDonalds to Open at Old Fuddruckers Location

WOODBRIDGE, Va. — Woodbridge has traded one burger joint for another.

A McDonalds “classic” at Prince William Parkway and Worth Avenue will move into an old Fuddruckers Hamburgers restaurant. The Prince William County Board of Supervisors this week unanimously voted to allow the move.

The current McDonalds restaurant sits next to a gas station and serves drive through customers, as well as those who walk up to a window to place their order. It has no dining room and will close once the move is complete.

The new restaurant will have a more modern design and feel, said county staff, much like the one that recently opened in Dumfries.

Fuddruckers closed its Woodbridge location, and one in Fredericksburg, in 2010.

  • Do we really need another McDonalds? We have 9/10 in Woodbridge area which includes one inside Potomac Mills Mall and outside. The one outside is a 50s style McDonalds.

Can we have some kind of variety? I’d love a new place to eat at with the family- that is not fast food. Fudruckers was awesome. Instead of another mcd’s can we have another family friendly restaurant?
