F/18 Jets Flying Overhead Today

QUANTICO, Va. -- Military jets will fly over the Potomac Communities today as part of a training exercise.
Quantico Marine Corps Base said F/A-18 Hornet jets could bring additional noise to the region today between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. The aircraft will fly at low altitudes, which will provide good viewing for lunchtime air show fans.
The Hornet jets are supersonic and are able to achieve a speed of Mach 1. They’re used by the Marine Corps and in the U.S. Navy’s Blue Angel flying squadron.
