Crime Watch: Sex with Minor Probed, Man Stabbed

FROM POLICE REPORTS:

Aggravated Sexual Battery – On June 29 at 3:11p.m., detectives from the Special Victims Bureau responded to investigate a sexual battery which was reported to have occurred in the 13800 block of Montoclair Ln in Dale City (22193). The investigation revealed that the victim, a 14 year old female of Woodbridge, had been sexually assaulted by the accused, a known acquaintance. Following an investigation, the accused was subsequently arrested.

Arrested:

Manuel DE JESUS RUIZ, 47, of the 13800 block of Montoclair Ln in Dale City. Charged with aggravated sexual battery, indecent liberties with a minor, object sexual penetration. Court date unavailable, held WITHOUT bond.

Attempted Malicious Wounding – On July 1 at 9:39 a.m., police responded to the 14500 block of Telegraph Rd, Woodbridge (22191) for an assault. The victim, a 29 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police he had a verbal altercation with the accused, an unknown man, which escalated. During the encounter the accused displayed a knife and chased the victim in the above area. The accused did not make contact with the victim and hid the knife when police arrived. The knife was retrieved by police and the accused was subsequently arrested without incident. No injuries were reported.

Arrested:

Jose Santiago RUBIO-REYES, 34, of 1500 Kentucky Ave in Woodbridge. Charged with attempted malicious wounding. Court date unavailable, held WITHOUT bond.

Malicious Wounding – On June 30 at 2:50AM, police responded to the 17100 block of Jefferson Davis Hwy in Dumfries (22026) for a stabbing. The victim, a 52 year old man of Triangle, reported to police he was stabbed several times in the torso by a known acquaintance. The victim was treated at an area hospital for non-life threatening injuries. Investigation continues.

Armed Robbery – On July 1 at 4:28AM, police responded to the 18100 block of Purvis Dr, Dumfries (22172) for a robbery. The victim, a 30 year old woman of Dumfries, reported to police that while walking to her residence in the above area she was confronted by an unknown man.

The man allegedly displayed a handgun and demanded the victim’s purse. The victim gave the man her purse, containing an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency, and he fled the area on foot.

No injuries were reported.

Black male, unknown age, 6’1” / 150lbs, thin build

Last seen wearing black shorts, grey shirt, baseball hat and a black mask over his face

Strong Armed Robbery – On July 1 at 2:43AM, police responded to the 2300 block of

McClellan Ct, Dumfries (22026) for a robbery. The victim, a 31 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he was assaulted by three unknown men while walking in the above area.

The men allegedly struck the victim numerous times in the face with their fists. During the encounter the victim fell to the ground where the men took his wallet. The men fled the area prior to police arrival. The victim was treated at an area hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

Lookout:

3 black males, all reported to have short hair and medium build – no further description
