Toddler Found Alone in Woodbridge
WOODBRIDGE, Va. — Police found a child alone in a Woodbridge apartment and now a woman faces charges.
Officers were called to the 1400 block of Bayside Drive at 1:50 p.m. Friday after a maintenance worker found a 1-year-old boy alone inside a home. While police were there, the woman who was supposed to be watching the child – a family member of the child’s — returned to the apartment, according to police reports.
After questioning her, officers learned the child had been left by himself for at least 50 minutes, police reports state. The child wasn’t injured and is now in the care of other family members.
Alba Xiomara Palacios Guzman, 23, of Woodbridge, is charged with child neglect. She was held on $1,500 secured bond.
