Stafford, Va. — Veterans on Tuesday took advantage of free services provided to them at the Stafford County Government Center.
The Rural Health Initiative team from McGuire VA Medical Center in Richmond brought their Mobile Vet Center program to the Potomac Communities.
“We have two mobile vet units, one is the actual health care unit where we can do physicals and enroll them in the VA health care system. In the other unit, we do benefits, education, upgrades to VA disabilities and death annuity for spouses,” said Veterans Administration Readjustment Counseling Technician Foster Meadors.
The mobile center helped at least 25 veterans on Tuesday, and will be open again today between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m.
