Stafford, Va. –– The Stafford County Board of Supervisors has changed the meeting times of its regular monthly meetings from 1 to 3 p.m. on the first and third Tuesday of each month. The new schedule will begin with the Board’s February 1, 2011 meeting. In addition, the Board has established nine standing committees to help focus their work on various issues.
“Our goal with these changes is to enhance our services and our responsiveness to the community’s needs,” said Mark Dudenhefer, Chairman of the Board. “Our committee work will allow us to focus on the details of an issue so that we can make our decisions based on thorough analysis and discussion that will benefit our citizens.”

Community and Economic Development
Key Focus Areas – Comp Plan and sub-plans, Redevelopment Plan, 10-Point Economic Development Plan, Technology, Development Review, and TDR Ordinance

Infrastructure

Compared to gas, electric lawn equipment can reduce emissions, noise pollution, health risks and maintenance costs and time. The program aims to remove about a hundred gas-powered polluting tools from yards in the greater Baltimore-Washington region.
