Jayant Tripathi

It is with profound grief that we mourn the unexpected, natural passing of Jayant Tripathi on April 19, 2017. Jayant was the beloved son of Ajai and Mridu Tripathi, adored brother to Anika Tripathi, and cherished grandson, nephew, cousin and friend.

Jayant was born on May 27, 1999 in Washington D.C. and moved to Arlington in 2005. He attended Glebe Elementary and Swanson Middle School. He was a senior at Washington-Lee High School. Jayant was accepted to the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. He was a Boy Scout and was on his way to becoming an Eagle Scout. Jayant was member of the Washington Lee Crew for 4 years.

A wake with an open casket will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2017 from 2-4 pm at Mountcastle Turch Funeral Home located at 4143 Dale Boulevard, Dale City, Virginia. All are invited to attend.

For those unable to attend on Saturday, but who would like to pay respects to Jayant’s family, the family will be taking visitors on Sunday, April 23, 2017 from 12-4 pm at their home at 1516 Taylor Street, Arlington, Virginia.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that any donations be made to Jayant’s Boy Scout Troop 111, a 501(c)(3) organization. Checks can be made out to Friends of Troop 111 and addressed to: Treasurer, Celia Boddington, 3205 2nd Road North, Arlington, Virginia 22201.
