Gerald "Jake" Hammersley; born December 4, 1951 in Washington D.C. passed away peacefully in his sleep Friday April 14th at Fairfax Hospital after complications from congestive heart failure and pneumonia.
Jake, as he was know as by many friends & family is the son of Chancelor and Alma Hammersley. He is survived by his wife of 38 years; Molly Hammersley, his daughter Heather Bloomquist and his son in law Brent Bloomquist
The family will receive friends at Pierce Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 9609 Center Street, Manassas, VA on Friday, April 21,2017 from 6-8 PM where funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 5:00 PM. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest that memorial contributions be made to The American Heart Association.
