Man Stabbed in Dale City

DALE CITY, Va. - On October 3, a 35-year-old man was hospitalized with critical injuries after he was stabbed by an unknown person. Police say that the victim was walking in the area and never saw the suspect, the investigation is ongoing.

Here's the latest from Prince William police:  

Malicious Wounding – On October 3rd at 5:24PM, officers responded to the 14700 block of Darbydale Ave in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a stabbing. The investigation revealed that the victim, a 35 year old man of Woodbridge, was walking in the above area when he was approached and stabbed from behind by an unknown suspect. The victim was able to get away from the assailant before collapsing. A passerby located the victim and contacted police. The victim was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries. Initially, it was believed that the victim possibly knew the suspect but after further questioning, the victim never saw the suspect. The investigation continues.
