Fairfax will collect trash Monday

We wanted to pass this bulletin to you from the folks who do trash and recyclables collection in Fairfax County. Have your items to the curb by 6 a.m. Monday for collection because they are not taking a holiday.

Please be advised that Monday, January 17, 2011 will be a regular solid waste collection day for those customers who receive trash and recycling collection service on Mondays from Fairfax County.  All trash and recycling should be at the curb by 6 a.m. in order to ensure that it will be collected.The Division of Solid Waste Collection and Recycling administrative office will be closed on Monday, January 17 for the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday. The office will reopen at 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday, January 18.
The Recycling and Disposal Centers at the I-66 Transfer Station (4618 West Ox Road) and the I-95 Landfill Complex (9850 Furnace Road) will be open following their normal operating schedules on Monday, January 17.
