Fairfax County, Va. –– A 15-year-old boy was taken into custody this morning and charged in the murder of an Alexandria area man.
The boy turned himself into police at 10:30 a.m. and was charged him with second degree murder in the Oct. 14 death of 18-year-old Wyatt Campbell, of Rose Hill Drive.
We are working to get more information on the circumstances that lead to Campbell’s death.
Police said Campbell walked into a medical treatment center in Springfield at 10:30 p.m. Oct. 14 suffering body trauma. He died there shortly after 11 p.m.
An autopsy was performed to determine the cause of death. The results of that autopsy have not been released.
