Update 3:30 p.m. – Murder victim identified
Police now say it was a domestic dispute the led to the death of a Falls Church woman Wednesday night in a Springfield restaurant.
Tieu L. Nguyet, 37, of 3235 Kenny Drive was killed in a knife attack, said Fairfax County police.
She died after she suffered trauma to her upper body.
Police have charged 40-year-old Lam Dang, of 6801 Floyd Avenue in Springfield, with murder in connection to her death.
He remains in stable condition at a local hospital, in police custody, after investigators said he turned the knife on himself following the woman’s death.

Springfield, Va. –– One woman is dead and police are looking for answers.
Officers were called about 6:40 p.m. to 5T Bar and Grill at 7052 Spring Garden Drive in Springfield to investigate a report of an assault. When they arrived found one man assaulted a female with a weapon and then used the weapon to harm himself, said a Fairfax police spokesman.
The unidentified woman later died from her injuries, and the 40-year-old homicide suspect was taken to the hospital where he was treated for injuries that did not appear to be life threatening, police said.
Investigators did not say what led to the assault or what weapon was used, but did say the woman’s death is still under investigation.
