Uber driver robbed, abducted at gun point

An Uber driver was robbed and forced to drive a man to an ATM while being held at gunpoint.

The robbery occurred on April 28, at 2:51 a.m., at an intersection between Dale Boulevard and Benita Fitzgerald Drive in Dale City, according to a Prince William County Police Department stated in a press release.

“The investigation revealed, that the suspect entered the vehicle, where he brandished a firearm before forcing the victim to drive to an ATM where money was withdrawn. The suspect then forced the victim to continue to drive,” states Prince William County Police spokeswoman, Renee Carr.

According to police, the victim continued to drive and saw a marked police car at the intersection. He then drove up to the vehicle and parked his car.

The suspect then got out of the car and ran away on foot. The victim spoke to the off-duty officer and reported the incident, according to police. The suspect has not been found.

Police describe the robber as a black man, 18-years-old, 5’8″ tall, 160 pounds with a medium build. He was recalled to be last seen wearing a black puffy-style jacket, black hooded sweatshirt, blue surgical mask, clear latex-style gloves, and dark-colored pants.
