Kathleen Manning

Kathleen Faye Williams Manning passed away Saturday November 2, 2019. She spent her final days at home with family in Woodbridge, Virginia. Over the past five months, supporting her through cancer brought the family closer together than ever before.
Kathy was born August 13, 1944, in Chicago, Illinois. She was the only child of William Thomas Williams and Hattie Eleanor McIlrath. She had eight half-siblings: Ernest, Eleanor, Dorothy, Gloria, Joanne, Charles, Ronald, and Patsy. She grew up in Wheatfield, Indiana, and shared many fond stories of visiting family in Kentucky, Ohio, and Florida as a child. In her twenties, Kathy moved to Northern Virginia, where she worked in food service and retail until her retirement.
Kathy is survived by her devoted husband, John Manning, and her proudest accomplishments, her five daughters: Roxanne Galvan, Renee Mando, Linda Pracht, Diane Stevens and Eileen Porter.
She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren Andrew Calvillo, Mika and Bella Galvan, Johnathan Sotomayor, Kenneth Henson, Max Pracht, William Cocks, Paul Stevens, Erin Pracht, and Brenden Porter, and her great-granddaughter Erica Calvillo.
Nature was important throughout Kathy’s life, and she was always happiest in her garden. She enjoyed sharing the results of her labor, often sending visitors home with a plant or two. She loved to talk about her other interests, including Elvis, sewing, bowling, NASCAR, and collecting McCoy pottery.
We will miss her forever.
Love You More, Mom.
