WOODBRIDGE — (Press Release) On December 1 at 4:20PM, officers responded to the Target located at 2460 Prince William Pkwy in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a fight in front of the business.
The investigation revealed that a vehicle was illegally parked in the fire lane in front of the business when a second vehicle approached the vehicle parked in the fire lane and began honking its horn.
The occupants of both vehicles were involved in a verbal altercation before they exited their vehicles and began to fight. During the encounter, two of the involved individuals, identified as Jake Bernard JOHNSON and Elyna THOMAS-TAYLOR, struck a 26-year-old woman and 44-year-old woman causing serious injuries.
A family member of the 26-year-old woman and the 44-year-old woman, identified as a 17-year-old male, also grabbed THOMAS-TAYLOR by the neck and began to choke her. The parties eventually separated, and the police were contacted.
The 26-year-old woman, 44-year-old woman, and Elyna THOMAS-TAYLOR were subsequently transported to a local hospital for treatment of their injuries. Following the investigation, officers charged Jake Bernard JOHNSON, Elyna THOMAS-TAYLOR, and the 17-year-old male.

Both were charged with malicious wounding
