Emma “Gaye” Sprouse, of Nokesville/Gore, VA, passed away on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at Winchester Medical Center.
She was born September 10, 1941 in Buckingham County, VA, the daughter of Toy and Mary Hess. She is preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Howard Sprouse, Jr. and several brothers and sisters-in-law.
She is survived by two brothers and wives, D.C. Hess (Mary) and Chick Hess (Nean), as well as three half sisters, Becky, Myrtle, Pam and their husbands.
She is also survived by two sons, Timothy and Michael Sprouse, as well as two daughters-in-law, Faith and Victoria Sprouse. Six grandchildren and their spouses. Maria and Jacob Poland, Jennifer Hinderliter and Douglas Hall, Kandice and David Kinney, Elizabeth Sprouse and Joseph Elkins, Sarah Sprouse and Timothy “TJ” Sprouse, Jr. She also has 10 great grandchildren, Anthony, Alexis, Josh, Bailee, Madison, AJ, Natalie, Jaydyn, Chase and Angel.
Services will be held at Pierce Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Manassas, VA. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 6, 2017 from 7-9 PM. A funeral service will be held Saturday, October 7, 2017 at 9:00 AM followed by a graveside service at 10:00 AM at Stonewall Memory Gardens, Manassas, VA.
