Sharpe charged in Dale City robbery; second suspect wanted

DALE CITY — Police say they have one of two suspects in the robbery of in Dale City.

On April 9, detectives with the Prince William police Robbery Unit continued to look into an armed robbery that occurred in the 13100 block of Hillendale Drive in Dale City on February 22 after they got new a new lead on one of the suspects.

The investigation revealed the suspects conspired to rob the victim, a 23-year-old man, of his handgun and property, according to Prince William police spokeswoman Renee Carr.

After the robbery, the 23-year-old victim told police reported to police that two acquaintances robbed him of his property while he was driving them in the area of Hemingway Drive and Hallow Way Court.

During the encounter, the suspects took the victim’s handgun which was located in the glove box, brandished the gun at the victim, and then demanded his property, states Carr. The suspects took the victim’s handgun and other property before getting out of the vehicle and fleeing the area on foot, she adds.

No one was injured.

Following the investigation, one of the suspects, identified as Marissa Ariyana Sharpe, was arrested without incident, said Carr.

The investigation into the identity of the second suspect is ongoing. He’s described as a black male, 17-19 years old, 5 feet 8 inches tall, 160 pounds, with a thin build, brown dreadlocks, and brown eyes.

Sharpe, of 12400 block of Eden Ln. in Lake Ridge, is charged with robbery, conspiracy to commit a felony, and grand larceny of a firearm, states Carr in a press release.

Sharpe is scheduled to appear in court May 1.
