Valentine’s Day Events: Chocolate walk and couples art class

Valentine’s Day is right around the corner. Valentine’s Day weekend is the perfect opportunity to spice up a regular date night.

Our area lot to offer to make your Valentine’s Day weekend a success. From special restaurant deals, couples painting sessions, and chocolate tasting.

Historic Occoquan Chocolate Walk, Saturday, Feb. 13, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The third annual Chocolate Walk is taking place this Saturday in Occoquan. While strolling through the historic district of Occoquan you’ll be given the opportunity to sample chocolate goodies.

Over 40 shops and restaurants will be participating in the annual Chocolate Walk. You’ll be given the opportunity to register for a chance to win a prize, no purchase is needed to enter. This event is sponsored by the Business Guild of Occoquan.

Couples Art Class at Cheers Art Studio, Sunday, Feb. 14, Two Sessions

Cheers Art Studio on Minnieville Road is hosting a couples art class on Valentine’s Day. This specific painting was designed specifically for duos. Each duo will be working on their own diptych, a two panel painting.

The first session is from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. The second session is from 5 p.m to 7 p.m. Pre-registration is required to attend the session. Registration is available until two hours before the session begins. Price per duo is $70.

Travinia Valentine’s Day Specials, Sunday, Feb. 14

This Valentine’s Day, Travinia in Stonebridge of Potomac Town Center is offering a few special course options.

These specials include seared scallops and shrimp, pork chop saltimbocca, and New York strip with shallots. For dessert a lemon ricotta cheesecake. Each course option lists a suggested wine that would compliment the meal.

Travinia is located at 15001 Potomac Town Place, Suite 100, across the street from Brighton and on the same strip as DSW Designer Show Warehouse.

Sweets for My Sweet at Chick-Fil-A Bristow, Friday, Feb. 12 and Saturday, Feb. 13

Chick-Fil-A of Bristow is hosting an event known as Sweets for My Sweet to celebrate Valentine’s Day weekend.

When you purchase your choice of Dreamfloat, frosted lemonade or a milkshake, the second one will be free. From 10:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m., carnations will be handed out.
