WOODBRIDGE, Va. – On Friday, police arrested a male suspect who was supposedly involved in an assault that happened on July 9.

Abduction | Strangulation *ARREST – On August 1st, officers located and arrested the suspect involved in the assault which was reported to have occurred in the 14600 block of Potomac Mills Rd in Woodbridge on July 9th. The accused was located in a wooded area behind the Potomac Festival Shopping Center and was arrested without incident.

Tyreek Jason CLARK, 30, of no fixed address
Charged with abduction, strangulation, assault & battery, preventing the summoning of law enforcement and destruction of property

Abduction | Strangulation [Previously Released] – On July 9th at 4:03AM, officers responded to the 14600 block of Potomac Mills Rd in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate an assault. The victim, a 30 year old woman of no fixed address, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a physical altercation. During the encounter, the accused choked the victim and prevented her from leaving to get help. The victim took her phone and attempted to contact police, at which point, the accused took the phone and broke it. The accused fled prior to police arriving in the area. Minor injuries were reported.
