DUMFRIES, Va. — A company that gives customers an option to lease-to-own items like furniture and electronics is opening a new store in Dumfries.
Aarons, Inc. will open a new store at 18069 Triangle Shopping Center on Friday, July 25. The store will sit across from the town’s police station and will cater to those with household incomes of $50,000 or less.
The new store will employ five people, and it will join other Aarons stores in the region – one in the Newington section of Fairfax County and one in south Stafford County off U.S. 17.
“Our customers can own name-brand electronics, appliances and furniture after choosing a 12, 18 or 24 months lease-to-own agreement plan that best fits their budget. If a customer needs to return the product to Aaron’s before they’ve completed their payment plan, they do not have to pay out the full term of the lease,” company spokeswoman Leigh Jones. “In a credit sale with a traditional retailer, a customer is obligated to pay the full amount plus interest for the purchase of a product.”
More than 90% of Aaron’s customers go on to own the items they’ve leased from the company, added Jones.
