Ayers Killed in Prince William Parkway Crash

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. — Police said man from Nokesville was killed in a crash on Prince William Parkway near Woodbridge.

It happened early Tuesday morning. Here’s the latest in a police press release:

Crash – Fatality – On July 1st at 1:58AM, investigators from the Crash Investigation Unit responded to the area of the Prince William Pkwy and Crooked Knoll Way in Manassas (20111) to investigate a crash. The investigation revealed that the driver of 2001 Subaru Impreza RS was traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes of the Prince William Pkwy when the vehicle collided head on with a 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt which was traveling westbound. The driver of the Subaru was pronounced dead at the scene. The other diver was flown to an area hospital with serious injuries. Speed is not believed to be a factor in the collision. Potential drug and alcohol use remains under investigation. The investigation continues.

The driver of the 2001 Subaru Impreza RS was identified as Jason Nathaniel AYERS, 37, of Nokesville

 

The driver of the 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt was identified as a 23 year old woman of Alexandria
