Pool Guest Asked to Leave, Bites Park Ranger: Police Report

Apparently, it’s not OK to be intoxicated and at Splashdown Water Park outside Manassas. And, when a park ranger tried to remove someone from the swimming pool whom police said was intoxicated that person tried to fight back.

Malicious Wounding – On June 7th at 2:35PM, officers responded to Splashdown Water Park located at 7500 Ben Lomond Park Dr in Manassas (20109) to investigate an assault involving a Park Ranger. The victim, 64 year old man, reported to police that he was a park ranger for the county and was attempting to remove a patron, identified as the accused, from the park for being intoxicated. During the encounter, the victim was bit by the accused. Minor injuries were reported. While being detained the accused began to spit towards another park employee and act disorderly. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Charged with malicious woundingassault & batterydisorderly conduct, andintoxication in public
