Stafford County officials have good news for commuters: the wreck involving a tractor trailer on Interstate 95 north at mile post 150 in Prince William County has been cleared from the highway as of 12:40 p.m.
There are traffic backups in the northbound direction from North Stafford to Dumfries.
9:30 a.m.
DUMFRIES, Va. — Police and fire and rescue crews have been called to a HAZMAT crash on Interstate 95 near Dumfries.
The crash, which occurred on the northound side of I-95, was reported by Prince William police just before 9:30 a.m. It’s unclear if anyone was injured in the crash.
Several lanes of I-95 are closed near the crash scene. Police said extensive delays can be expected.
