Lifeguard Job Fair on Sunday First of Many Parks Summer Employment Events

Tired of the cold and thinking about spring? Want a lifeguard job this summer?

A lifeguard job fair will be held on Sunday at the Chinn Aquatics and Fitness Center in Woodbridge on Sunday from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. The Prince William County Parks and Recreation Department will accept applications for guards for all of their swimming pools throughout the county. Applicants must bring a one-piece bathing suit and a towel so they can complete a swimming test and must apply online prior to coming to the job fair.

The department will hold another job fair  for the county’s Splashdown Waterpark near Manassas on Saturday, Feb. 22 from 10 a.m. to noon. Applications should be submitted online and then copy of the application printed to bring with them to the fair at Stonewall Jackson High School at 8820 Rixlew Lane in Manassas.

A third job fair for all summer jobs in Prince William County parks will be held from 9 a.m. until noon Saturday, March 1 at the Sharron Baucom Dale City Recreation Center at 14300 Minnieville Road.

Those looking to work as camp counselors this summer should plan to attend a fourth job fair to be held from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday March 15 at parks headquarters at 14420 Bristow Road at Independent Hill. Applicants must be 18 years old, according to information from the parks department.

Applications are also being accepted online, and all applicants need to make sure they complete their online application and bring a copy with them to the job fairs for all positions, said parks spokeswoman Dianne Cabot.
