Annette Shelton Crites

Annette Shelton Crites, 90, of Manassas, passed away January 12, 2014 after a lengthy illness.

Born January 27, 1923 in Washington, DC, she was the daughter of the late William E. Chaillet and Lena R. Shelton Chaillet. On June 23, 1946, she married Llewellyn L. Crites, Jr., who preceded her in death on October 26, 2003.

She was preceded in death by numerous brothers and sisters. Survivors include one son, William Crites of Centreville; one daughter Kathryn J. Robinson; two sisters and two grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 16, 2014 from 6-8 p.m. at the Baker-Post Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 10001 Nokesville Road, Manassas. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 17, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Dr. Larry Lee officiating.

Interment will follow in Stonewall Memory Gardens, Manassas, VA.

Contributions may take the form of a donation to the Alzheimer’s Association, National Capital Area Chapter, 3701 Pender Drive, Suite 400, Fairfax, VA 22030.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Baker-Post Funeral Home & Cremation Center, under the direction of Michael Post.

Compared to gas, electric lawn equipment can reduce emissions, noise pollution, health risks and maintenance costs and time. The program aims to remove about a hundred gas-powered polluting tools from yards in the greater Baltimore-Washington region.

The exchanges will take place the weekends of May 17-19, 2024, and May 31-June 2, 2024, at A Few Cool Hardware Stores network of employee-owned Ace Hardware stores in the DC and Baltimore metro areas.
