Manassas Crime Watch: Arrests Made in Prostitution, Bar Room Brawl Cases

At approximately 1:30PM on December 22, 2013 Manassas City Police responded to “Don Julio Restaurant” located at 9007 Centreville Rd for a report of an assault. According to the victim, he was sitting at the bar inside the restaurant when a male subject approached him and brandished a firearm. Two more male subjects then struck him from behind and a fight ensued. The victim was transported to an area hospital where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Aggravated Assault – Arrest

At approximately 1:50AM on December 25, 2013 Manassas City Police responded to the 10100 block of South Grant Ave for a fight in progress. Once on site, Officers observed signs that a fight had taken place but the residence was empty. Upon further investigation, Officers discovered that following a confrontation between the victim and a family member of the accused, a fight had taken place in which the victim sustained a severe albeit non-life-threatening laceration to his face. Nilson Udiel Galve Castillo Galvez, 28, of 7495 Princess Carol Ct, Manassas (20111) was soon located by Officers and charged with malicious wounding. He has a pending court date of January 28, 2014.

Prostitution – Arrest

On December 26, 2013 Manassas City Police made three arrests in reference to a prostitution operation taking place at the “Super 8” motel located at 8691 Phoenix Dr. The arrests came after an investigation into a series of advertisements Officers discovered that were posted by the accused on the Internet. Alexis Nicole Higgins, 24, of 8691 Phoenix Dr was charged with prostitution and Matthew Saunders, 25, of 9604 Nonquitt Dr, Fairfax, VA was charged with solicitation of prostitution. Both were released on a summons. Corey Stratton Northrup, 26, of 1360 Forest Hill Dr, Front Royal, VA was charged with pandering and was held on a $1,500.00 secure bond. All three have a pending court date of February 4, 2014.

Burglary

On December 23, 2013 Manassas City Police met with residents on the 10200 block of Gregorys Grove Ct in reference to a burglary. According to the reporting party, someone(s) broke in to the residence between 4:10PM and 6:00PM on December 23rd and stole an undisclosed amount of cash and a family photo from one of the bedrooms.

Stolen Vehicle

On December 27, 2013 Manassas City Police met with a resident on the 10400 block of Colonel Ct for a report of a stolen vehicle. According to the reporting party, someone(s) stole his vehicle sometime between 4:30PM on December 26th and 7:30AM on December 27th from the on-street parking spot next to his residence.

Vehicle Description: 2000 Ford F250 XLT Crew Cab 4-door long-bed pickup truck, white in color. Approximate value: $8,000.00

Stolen Vehicle

On December 26, 2013 Manassas City Police met with staff at “Insiders Auto” located at 8901 Mathis Ave in reference to a stolen vehicle. According to the reporting party, someone(s) stole the vehicle between approximately 4:45PM on Tuesday, December 24th and Wednesday, December 25th. Damage to the business’s fence was also reported and valued at approximately $500.00.

Vehicle Description: 2013 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible 472, black in color. Approximate value: $61,000.00

Strangulation – Arrest

At approximately 3:00AM on December 25, 2013 Manassas City Police responded to the 8800 block of Bond Ct for a report of an assault. According to the victim, he was pushed to the ground and strangled by his brother after a confrontation between the two of them escalated. William Jeffrey Chrobak, 41, of 8894 Bond Ct was arrested for domestic assault and strangulation and held on a $2,500.00 bond. His court date was December 27, 2013.

Compared to gas, electric lawn equipment can reduce emissions, noise pollution, health risks and maintenance costs and time. The program aims to remove about a hundred gas-powered polluting tools from yards in the greater Baltimore-Washington region.

The exchanges will take place the weekends of May 17-19, 2024, and May 31-June 2, 2024, at A Few Cool Hardware Stores network of employee-owned Ace Hardware stores in the DC and Baltimore metro areas.
