2 Women Victims in Brazen Robberies

WOODBRIDGE, Va. — Police are working two strong-arm robberies that occurred in broad daylight this morning in Woodbridge.

A woman was robbed of her purse while inside her car about 9 a.m. in the 1200 block of Bayside Avenue.

Police are looking for a black male, 5 feet 7 inches tall, bald, with facial hair, last seen wearing a gray shirt and jeans, driving a gray sedan, possibly a Toyota.

A second woman was robbed of her wallet as she was getting into her car while in the parking lot of a business in the 13100 block of Occoquan Road in shortly thereafter, according to Prince William police. Police said the robber did not use a weapon or imply that he had one.

Police cruisers began searching for the Nissan along nearby Old Bridge Road, and officers in neighboring Fairfax County were also told to be on the lookout, according to initial information.

Following this robberies, police fanned out looking for a black man with short hair, wearing a light brown t-shirt, blue jeans, driving a sliver Nissan Altima.

No one was injured in the robberies.
