Prince William Schools Experience Flooding

Woodbridge, Va. — Water is a problem today at some Prince William County Public Schools, prompting officials to come up with a plan to deal with the mess.

Initial reports indicated some students were being moved from Woodbridge Middle School to another nearby school, however they were false.

There are unconfirmed reports that children from Woodbridge Middle School are being moved to nearby Fred M. Lynn Middle School because of flooding at the school. We’re told the students who are moved there will be dismissed from Fred Lynn Middle.

School officials say they plan to make an announcement on their social networking services, via Twitter and Facebook, soon.

The reports come after days of drenching rains and flood warnings in the Potomac Communities.

While tomorrow’s forecast calls for less rain, there remains the chance for showers and thunderstorms in the forecast through the weekend, according to the National Weather Service.
