Help for those who forgot New Year’s resolutions

Woodbridge, Va. –– Some might call it the fitness fest. Others would say it’s a fun reminder of your New Year’s Resolution.

For those who vowed to loose weight, Powerhouse Gym in Woodbridge will host a customer appreciation day on Monday where guests of current members may work out for no charge.

While guests are welcome to work out all day, during the location’s busiest hours between 4:30 and 8:30 p.m. tables will be set up showcasing products from local vendors.

Diet-to-Go, Mary Kay, Sprint, TD Bank and AT&T are just some of the vendors that will be there.

There will also be some businesses one may not think to find inside a gym, like Hooters and Cheeseburger in Paradise.

“The best advice we can give anyone for keeping that resolution is to make it a part of their lifestyle.  We strive to create an environment that people actually enjoy being in, so they’ll want to come back. And the main reason so many of our members stick to their resolutions is, very simply, because they come back,” said Powerhouse Gym owner Kelly Kirk.

The gym is located at 3115 Golansky Boulevard in Woodbridge, is open 24 hours a day for five days out of the week, and offers group exercise classes and a smoothie bar.
