Coastal flood advisory issued

Sunday morning’s rain has prompted a coastal flood advisory to be issued for the Potomac communities today.
According to the National Weather Service, the high tides along the Potomac River in Alexandria today will be at 1:14 p.m. and Aquia Creek in Stafford County at 11:28 a.m.
The rain will produce tides about 1 foot above normal and could cause minor coastal flooding in some areas, according to the weather service.
