James A. Minor, Jr., 57, of Woodbridge, died suddenly at his home on October 27, 2021.  He was born October 6, 1964 in Richmond, VA. Jim was preceded in death by his father, James A. Minor, Sr. who died on January 20, 2021.

He is survived by his mother, Gayle Proctor Minor; sister, Ann Yeatter; children, Janalee Minor-Shi (Andrew) of Warner Robins, GA, Zeta Minor and James Minor III (Trae), Moorefield, WV and three grandchildren, Tucker Minor, Aubry Minor, and Karlee Shi.

The son of a retired Army officer, he came to Northern Virginia at the age of 5 when his family was transferred to the area.  As a Boy Scout, he obtained the rank of Eagle Scout which set the tone for his unique professional background.  He graduated from Garfield High School in 1982.

His diverse professional history included: Chef, Sales Manager for a John Deere dealer; Distributor of Commercial Outdoor Power Equipment; Residential Mortgage Banker and currently a licensed Realtor. A supporter of Privacy Vaults Online (PRIVO) from its beginning, Jim started with the company on a full time basis in 2012 as their Logistics and Support person. Jim was a licensed Realtor at Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, Manassas Homes and Living, and currently at Keller Williams Metro Center.

When not working, Jim loved the great outdoors.  He was an advanced SCUBA diver and above all enjoyed warm, deep, blue water.  Other interests included canoeing, kayaking, fishing, camping and white water rafting.

The family will receive guest 10am to 12pm, Saturday, November 13, 2021 at Mountcastle Turch Funeral Home, 4143 Dale Blvd, Dale City. A Life Celebration service will begin at 12pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations are made directly to Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758541, Topeka, KS 66675-8541.

Julia Leonora Pierini Jackson
1945-2021

Julia Leonora Pierini Jackson, 76, a resident of The Oaks in Warrenton, VA passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 16, 2021, supported by the immense love of her immediate and extended family and friends.
Julia grew up in Modesto, California and graduated from Thomas Downey High School before earning an Associates Degree from Modesto Junior College. She enjoyed the outdoors and riding horses as a young adult and later moved to the greater Northern Virginia area where she spent most of her adult life. She worked for the United States Army Corps of Engineers as a Program Analyst and Contract Specialist, spending a part of her
career in Frankfurt, Germany. After taking early retirement, she enjoyed spending quality time with friends and family, loving her dogs, laughing and recalling fond memories with loved ones, and watching her grandchildren follow their dreams.

Julia will be dearly missed and always remembered, and her legacy will continue to live on through the countless lives she has touched. Julia was preceded in death by her mother, Leonora, and her father, Angelo. She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer, of 46 years, her two sons, Jessie of 49 years and Stephen of 53 years, grandchildren Sebastian, Sofia, Dax, Allie, Alex and Jake, sister Katherine and husband Gene, sister Claudia and husband Doug, and nieces Hillary and Lea.

A Celebration of Life will be held in her honor as opposed to traditional funeral services. We request all of Julia’s loved ones to join us in celebrating her beautiful life at The Oaks of Warrenton, 305 Oak Springs Dr, Warrenton, VA 20186 at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 20th, followed by a reception with loved ones in
attendance.

Ingrid P. Mcfetridge

Ingrid P. Mcfetridge ,77, passed away on October 19, 2021 due to stroke complications.

A memorial service will be held November 1, 2021, at the Mountcastle Funeral Home 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm.

She was born November 3, 1944, in Mannhein Germany. She married Ralph Mcfetridge in 1967 and they moved to South Carolina that same year.

As a military wife, Ingrid lived in many locations over seas and within the states. She loved her time in Italy, California, North Dakota she finally called Northern Virginia her home.

Her interests included her family, reading and playing bingo. She devoted much of her time ensuring her family and friends were well.

Ms. Mcfetridge is survived by her daughter Linda Garcia of Alabama; 2 sons, Michael E. Mcfetridge (Rebel) Bealton, Virginia and Matthew Mcfetridge of Alexandria, Virginia; 3 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Mcfetridge.
