Gainesville man charged with abduction and assault & battery

From Prince William County police:

Abduction | Domestic Assault & Battery – On November 27 at 10:37 a.m., officers responded to investigate a domestic dispute that occurred at a residence located in the 14000 block of Indigo Bunting Ct in Gainesville (20155) earlier that morning at approximately 1:00 a.m.

The victim, a 42-year-old woman, reported to police that she and the accused, an acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated physically. During the encounter, the accused bit the victim on the arm and pulled pieces of her out of from her head. At one point, the victim tried to escape the residence through a second story window. The accused then locked the victim in a bedroom and prevented her from contacting police.

The victim was eventually able to leave the home several hours later. The victim went to an area medical facility where police were contacted. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as P J Kwame ADJEI-PREMPEH, was arrested.

Traffic stop in Stafford yields drugs and wanted suspect

From Stafford County Sheriff’s Office:

Stafford, VA. A traffic stop conducted by deputies with the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office early on Thursday morning resulted in the arrest of a wanted suspect on drug charges.

On November 2, 2017 at approximately 12:01 a.m., a Stafford deputy observed a vehicle exit the Motel 6 parking lot on Warrenton Road. The deputy ran the license plate number on the vehicle and learned that the owner’s driver’s license was revoked.

He initiated a traffic stop and identified the driver of the vehicle as John Edward Coleman, 47, who advised that his license was revoked. The passenger in the vehicle, James Wilson Jackson, 43, told the deputy there was a warrant out for his arrest for failure to appear on a misdemeanor charge out of Stafford County. (more…)

Woman, 37, arrested for attempted malicious wounding with a vehicle

From Prince William County police:

Attempted Malicious Wounding – On October 31 at 8:54 p.m., officers responded to the Willowbrook community pool located at 1375 Walnut St in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate an assault.

The investigation revealed the victim, a 26-year-old man, and the accused, an acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused slapped the victim in the face then got into her vehicle and attempted to run the victim over. The parties eventually separated and the police were contacted. Minor injuries were reported by the victim.

Suspect in Haymarket armed robbery arrested

From Prince William County police:

Armed Robbery *ARREST – On November 1, the suspect, identified as Kenneth Lewis HARRIS, who was wanted in connection to an armed robbery incident which occurred in the area of Mountain Rd and Loudoun Dr in Haymarket on October 30, turned himself into authorities at the Prince William-Manassas Regional Adult Detention Center without incident.

Three suspects arrested after use of fake credit cards in Stafford

From Stafford County Sheriff’s Office:

Stafford, VA. The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office arrested three suspects on Saturday morning in connection with an incident involving the use of fake credit cards at a convenience store in North Stafford.

On October 28, 2017 at approximately 6:08 a.m., a Stafford deputy responded to a call at Kangaroo Express near Garrisonville Road. The caller advised that a man had attempted to make a $68 purchase using a fake credit card and driver’s license. The man left the store in a white vehicle after the caller confronted him about the fake cards. The deputy ran the license number and discovered it belonged to a deceased individual. (more…)

Gainesville man arrested in connection with stabbing of three vicitims

From Prince William County police:

Aggravated Malicious Wounding – On October 29 at 1:11 a.m., officers responded to investigate a stabbing which was reported to have occurred in the 3500 block of Finish Line Dr in Gainesville (20155) earlier that evening. The investigation revealed
three male victims, two 18-year- olds and a 17-year- old, were stabbed in the above area by the accused following a drug transaction.

After the encounter, the victims drove to an area hospital where police were contacted. The injuries sustained by all three victims were non-life threatening. The accused was located at his residence near the offense location in Gainesville where he was detained without further incident.

Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Sang Vo Phuoc NGUYEN, was arrested.

Criminal justice presentation yields arrest for sexual assault

From Prince William County police:

Sexual Assault Investigation – On October 25, a detective with the Special Victim’s Unit gave a criminal justice presentation to a group of students in a local high school about the Special Victim’s Bureau. Following the presentation, a female student approached the detective and disclosed ongoing sexual abuse by a family member.

The investigation revealed that the victim was sexually assaulted by the accused on more than one occasion since August 2016. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Ubaldo SANCHEZ, was arrested without incident. (more…)

Police arrest man, 22, in connection with stabbing investigation

From Prince William County police:

Stabbing Investigation – On October 17 at 12:33a.m., officers responded to a hotel located in the 17100 block of Dumfries Rd in Dumfries (22025) to investigate a stabbing. The investigation revealed that the victims, a 21-year-old man and a 24-year-old man both of Midland, and two other male acquaintances were involved in a verbal altercation at the hotel, which escalated.

During the encounter, the accused stabbed both of the victims in the upper body with a knife. The parties eventually separated and police were contacted. When officers arrived, they detained the accused without incident. The victims were transported to a local area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested without incident.

Heroin overdose leads to arrest of Stafford man, 40

From Stafford County Sheriff’s Office:

Stafford, VA. A man who lost consciousness after overdosing on heroin was arrested on Sunday by deputies with the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office. On October 15, 2017 at approximately 1:04 p.m., Stafford deputies responded to a call in the area of Ivywood Drive and Glenwood Avenue. They discovered an unresponsive man in the driver’s seat of a vehicle with its hazard lights on positioned to the side of the road at the intersection.

Deputies suspected an opiate overdose and were able to revive the man using nasal Narcan. They discovered a substance consistent with heroin and needles in the vehicle. Eric Scott Ashby, 40, was treated at Stafford Hospital and subsequently arrested for possession of a controlled substance. He was incarcerated at the Rappahannock Regional Jail on a $2500 secured bond.

Shooting Investigation *ARREST – On October 16, Randy Lamont JACKSON, turned himself into police without incident at the Gar-Field Station in Woodbridge. The accused was wanted for shooting which occurred in the area of Dale Blvd and Kerrydale Rd in Woodbridge on October 14.

Manassas man, 18, arrested on four counts of malicious wounding

From Prince William County police:

Malicious Wounding – On October 14 at 12:12 a.m, officers responded to a residence located in the 13000 block of Dane Valley Ct in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a fight. The investigation revealed that the victim, 19-year-old man of Woodbridge, was involved in a verbal altercation with the accused, an acquaintance, which escalated. During the encounter, the accused pushed the victim to the ground and kicked him in the mouth damaging several of the victim’s teeth.

The accused fled the area prior to officers arriving. On October 15 around 1:44 a.m., officers responded to investigate another fight which occurred at a residence located in the 13800 block of Holly Forest Dr in Manassas (20112). The investigation revealed that the accused arrived at another party where he was involved in a verbal altercation with a 19-year-old male and 17-year-old male. A fight broke out and the accused assaulted the victims with a crow bar and brass knuckles. (more…)

Three suspects arrested in attempted armed robbery

Attempted Armed Robbery – On October 11 at 3:14 p.m., officers responded to the area of Forestdale Ave and Beaumont Rd in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a fight. The victim, a 33-year-old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that an acquaintance displayed a handgun and demanded the keys to his vehicle.

The victim attempted to get back into his vehicle when two additional males approached him and assaulted him. Officers arrived and were able to detain the suspects. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the suspects were arrested. A handgun was recovered. (more…)

Verbal altercation while driving leads to abduction charge for man, 32

Abduction | Domestic Related – On October 10 at 2:00 a.m., officers responded to the 3800 block of Koval Ln in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a possible abduction. The caller reported to police that she was on the phone with a family member, identified as a 44-year-old woman, who stated that the accused, an acquaintance, would not let her get out of a vehicle they were traveling in.

Officers were eventually able to locate the vehicle a short time later in the area of Hillendale Dr and Prince William Pkwy and detained the accused. The investigation revealed that the victim and the accused were involved in a verbal altercation while driving in the Woodbridge area. (more…)

Stafford traffic stop leads to arrest of wanted man

From Stafford County Sheriff’s Office:

Stafford, VA. A traffic stop initiated on Friday by deputies with the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office led to the arrest of a man wanted in Spotsylvania County on felony larceny charges.

On October 6, 2017 at approximately 7:11 p.m., a Stafford deputy observed a vehicle traveling southbound on Route 1 with no operating tail lights. The deputy activated his emergency lights and then “chirped” the siren several times after the vehicle failed to pull over.

The vehicle pulled over on State Shop Road and the driver, a male, opened his door. The deputy instructed him to remain inside, turn off his vehicle and put both hands on the steering wheel. The driver put his hands on the steering wheel but did not turn off the car and abruptly sped off. (more…)

Carjacking | Malicious Wounding *SUSPECTS IDENTIFIED AND ARRESTED – During the course of the investigation, detectives with the Robbery Unit identified and obtained warrants for the arrest of four suspects involved in a carjacking which was reported to have occurred at an unknown location on Georgetown Rd in Woodbridge on September 20.

The accused was wanted for a domestic which occurred at a residence located in the 8800 block of Middleburg Ct in Manassas on August 23.

Charges ensue when allegedly intoxicated suspect spits on police officer

Assault & Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On September 21 at 1:35 a.m., officers responded to Brittany’s Restaurant located at 12449 Dillingham Sq in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate several suspicious individuals. When officers arrived, they made contact with several intoxicated suspects and subsequently arrested them.

As an officer was attempting to process one of the suspects at the Adult Detention Center, the accused spit on the officer. No injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Kareem Tamara TAYLOR, was arrested without further incident. (more…)

Police investigate multiple shootings

From Prince William County police:

Shooting Investigation – On September 19 at 12:00AM, officers responded to the 3100 block of River Heritage Blvd in Dumfries (22026) to investigate a shooting. The initial investigation revealed that the victim, a 19-year-old man of Dumfries, was walking in a wooded area near the above location when he was approached by several males. During the encounter, one of the males brandished a firearm and fired at the victim, missing him. The victim was able to flee the area and contact police a short time later. After the shooting, the suspects fled the area. No injuries or property damage were reported.  At this point, this incident does not appear to be random. The investigation continues.

Shooting into an Occupied Vehicle – On September 18 at 4:01PM, officers responded to the area of Belvedere Dr and Benton St in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a shots fired call. Several callers reported to police that multiple shots were heard in the above area. When officers arrived, they located several shell casings in the roadway. While searching the surrounding area, officers located a vehicle which had several bullet holes. Officers located the driver of the vehicle a short time later. The victim was uncooperative with officers during the investigation. No suspect description is available at this time. There were no injuries or other property reported damaged. The investigation continues.

Police response to medical emergency leads to arrests

Stafford Deputies responded to a report of an unknown medical emergency to the rear of 620 Cambridge Street on August 4, 2017, at 8:08 p.m. Upon arrival, they located two individuals unresponsive, one on the ground by the driver’s side door of a Ford pickup truck and the other laying behind the vehicle.

One of the deputies noticed a white powdery substance spread across the center console of the truck which he believed to be heroin. Narcan was then administered to one of the subjects and he was immediately transported by rescue to Mary Washington Hospital. The second subject also regained consciousness and was transported to Mary Washington for evaluation. (more…)

‘The accused assaulted the victim and grabbed her by the neck’

Strangulation | Brandishing a Firearm – On August 2 at 3:05 p.m., officers responded to a residence located in the 7000 block of Lakota Drive in Woodbridge to investigate an assault involving weapons. The investigation revealed the victim, a 31-year-old woman, and the accused, an acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation, which escalated physically.

During the encounter, the accused assaulted the victim and, at one point, grabbed her by the neck. The victim was eventually able to separate from the accused. The accused then retrieved a firearm and pointed it towards the victim. The accused also broke property inside the home including the victim’s cell phone.

When the accused left the home briefly, the victim was able to lock the door and contact police. Officers arrived and detained the accused without further incident. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Cristian Alexander PLEITEZ-CORTEZ, was arrested. (more…)

Manassas man arrested after investigation of aggravated sexual battery

From Prince William County police:

Aggravated Sexual Battery – On August 1, detectives from the Special Victims Bureau, in conjunction with Child Protective Services, began an investigation into an assault which was reported to have occurred at a residence located in Manassas in December of 2016.

The investigation revealed the victim, an 11-year-old girl, was sexually assaulted by the accused, a family member, while she was sleeping. The incident was recently disclosed which prompted the investigation. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Eliu TOBAR ESCOBAR, was arrested.
