The Central Virginia Television Network (CVTV) is hosting a charity golf tournament on October 28th at the Fawn Lake Country Club in Spotsylvania County. For this event, CVTV will be joining the Area 11 Special Olympics and 16+ celebrity sports figures for an exciting day of golf on the Arnold Palmer 7,010 yard course. Each hole will feature one Special Olympian and one sports celebrity. The celebrities include Redskins Legends, as well as players from other sports teams as well, to include:
Rick “Doc” Walker, Brian Mitchell, Charley Taylor, Roy Jefferson, Mike Bragg, Raven Caldwell, Ken Jenkins, Ted Vactor and Mike Nelms. Other Legends include Detroit Tigers – Johnny Grubbs, New York Yankees – Jim Coates and Pittsburg Pirate – Gene Alley.
The charity golf tournament needs your help to make the event a success. Please sign up to play golf with celebrities and support this amazing cause! Meals are included and there will also be a silent auction.

Background on CVTV:
CVTV is a 501(c)3 corporation made up of a group of active members of our communities with the goal to make a positive impact with the creation of CVTV. CVTV mission is to provide the communities of Central Virginia programs with purpose, meaning and excellence through the voice of Public Access Television. CVTV will provide local programming for Stafford County, Spotsylvania County, and the City of Fredericksburg and will be launching on November 4th on the Spotsylvania County government channel. Comcast has picked up the network and has until January to assign CVTV an official cable channel.

Background on Special Olympics Virginia (SOVA):
SOVA is the Commonwealth’s Special Olympics Program. Area 11 of SOVA serves the City of Fredericksburg, as well as Spotsylvania, Stafford King George, and Caroline Counties.
