Are you concerned about homelessness? Would you like to know more about homelessness in Prince William County? The Prince William Area Continuum of Care, Occoquan District Office and Lake Ridge Rotary invite you to partner to help end homelessness here in Prince William County by coming to our Landlord Summit.
On [Thursday] October 6, 2016, come learn about the current status of homelessness in Prince William County and understand how you can be a part of the housing solution through renting a livable area to individuals who are homeless. Learn how the Federal Government and PWC Staff support each homeless individual or family during the rental period…all coordinated by a case manager. You will have the opportunity to speak to the people who help these individuals every day and hear success stories from those who have experienced assistance.Â
This event is to educate, connect, and empower residents, who have a space to rent, to help those in need of a home. The event will be held at the Realtor Association of Prince William, 4545 Daisy Reid Ave #150, Woodbridge, VA 22192. There will be a complimentary breakfast beginning at 8:30 a.m. and the program will promptly commence at 9:00 a.m.
This event is being jointly hosted by: Prince William Area Continuum of Care, Lake Ridge Rotary, & the Occoquan District Supervisor’s Office.

To celebrate Air Quality Awareness Week (May 6-10, 2024), Clean Air Partners is working with A Few Cool Hardware Stores to exchange DC, Maryland and Virginia residents’ gas-powered lawnmowers, trimmers, and leaf blowers at select Ace Hardware locations in the region. DMV residents who turn in their gas-powered lawn tools will receive a FREE Ego Power+ replacement including batteries and chargers, while supplies last.
Compared to gas, electric lawn equipment can reduce emissions, noise pollution, health risks and maintenance costs and time. The program aims to remove about a hundred gas-powered polluting tools from yards in the greater Baltimore-Washington region.
The exchanges will take place the weekends of May 17-19, 2024, and May 31-June 2, 2024, at A Few Cool Hardware Stores network of employee-owned Ace Hardware stores in the DC and Baltimore metro areas.
