3rd suspect nabbed in Manassas shooting

The third of four suspects in a fall 2015 shooting in Manassas is under arrest.

Third Shooting Suspect in Custody

A third suspect wanted for the shooting that took place on Stevens Ct on Sept. 25, 2015 was apprehended without incident. On Feb. 21, 2016, Manassas City Police charged William “Ruda” TAPSCOTT with Aggravated Malicious Wounding, Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, and Shooting Missiles at a Vehicle. TAPSCOTT, 26, of 8292 Humphrey Ln, Manassas, Va. 20109, was held without bond.

Antoine Johneas “Heavy” MASON, a fourth suspect identified throughout the course of the investigation, is still at large and considered armed and dangerous. The shooting took place Sept. 24, 2015 at a home on Stevens Court, near Ashton Avenue on Sept. 24, 2015. A 24-year-old man was found shot there. 

The next month, police arrested Martin Boyce, and identified other suspects in the case.

Ro Harris was arrested on Dec. 2, 2015, said Manassas police spokeswoman Adrienne Helms.
