A blizzard warning goes into effect at 1 p.m. Friday until 6 a.m. Sunday. This latest warning from the National Weather Service upgrades yesterday’s blizzard watch.
A blizzard warning was issued for Washington, D.C. briefly in December 2009 during major “Snowmageddon” snowstorm.
