Man found dead on doorstep of Dale City town home

Police identified the man found dead Sunday on the doorstep of a Dale City home. The man had no connection to anyone living in the house, said police. 

Here’s more in a statement released at 3 p.m. 

There is currently no connection to the victim and the residence where he was located. At this point in the investigation, detectives do not believe this was a random incident. More information will be released when available. The investigation continues. This is Prince William County’s 7th homicide of 2015.

The victim was identified as Gilbert KINARD, 48, of no fixed address

Police are working a find out how a man lying on the steps of a Dale City town home died. 

A man was walking his dog in the 15200 block of Brazil Circle just before 8 a.m. when he noticed the body and called 911. 

Here’s more in a press release:

On November 1st at 7:48AM, officers responded to the 15200 block of Brazil Cir in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a death. The caller reported to police that he was walking his dog when he observed an unknown man lying on the front steps of a townhouse in the area above.

Officers arrived at that residence and found the man suffering from trauma to his body and requested rescue assistance. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. At this time, the victim is described as an adult male. No further information on the victim’s identity is known.

Detectives from the Homicide Unit are currently on scene investigating this incident. More information will be released when available. The investigation continues. This is Prince William County’s 7th homicide of 2015.
