Strangulation | Domestic Assault & Battery
On September 5 th at 3:12AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 10000 block of Orland Stone Dr in Bristow (20136) to investigate a domestic assault. The victim, a 39 year old woman of Bristow, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused held the victim down on the bed and began to choke her. The parties eventually separated and police were contacted. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested. Residential Burglary
On September 15th at 6:23PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 15100 block of Colder Ln in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 8:45AM and 2:30PM. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry into the home. A cell phone, MacBook, and iMac desktop were reported missing.
Residential Burglary
On September 15th at 5:55PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 2100 block of Rutland Ct in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 9:00PM on September 13th and 6:00AM on September 14th. The investigation revealed that entry was made into several vehicles belonging to the occupants of the residence. Entry was also made into an attached garage. There were no signs of forced entry into the garage or any of the vehicles. A bicycle was reported missing from the garage. No property was reported missing from any of the vehicles.

DMV residents who turn in their gas-powered lawn tools will receive a FREE Ego Power+ replacement including batteries and chargers, while supplies last.
Compared to gas, electric lawn equipment can reduce emissions, noise pollution, health risks and maintenance costs and time. The program aims to remove about a hundred gas-powered polluting tools from yards in the greater Baltimore-Washington region.
The exchanges will take place the weekends of May 17-19, 2024, and May 31-June 2, 2024, at A Few Cool Hardware Stores network of employee-owned Ace Hardware stores in the DC and Baltimore metro areas.
