Teenager beaten at after hours party at Boys and Girls Club in Dale City

A mother told NBCWashington.com her son was targeted because he plays basketball for Freedom High School. Her son’s attackers, according to the woman to spoke with the TV station, attend a rival high school.

We placed the report from NBCWashington.com in this story. If you read on, you’ll find Prince William police’s account of what took place early Sunday morning when a teenager was found beaten by a mob.

Here’s the police report:

On March 15th at 12:01AM, officers responded to the Boys & Girls Club located at 5070 Dale Blvd in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate an assault.

The victim, a 16 year old male juvenile of Woodbridge, reported to police that he went to the center to attend a party.

At one point, the victim was waiting at a table inside the center when he was approached by an unknown male suspect.

During the encounter, the suspect asked the victim to come outside with him. Once outside, the victim was surrounded by a group of other male suspects and assaulted.

The group of suspects dispersed prior to officers arriving in the area.

Minor injuries were reported. The victim was unable to describe the assailants.
