Police: Woman Lied After Failed Drug Purchase

WOODBRIDGE, Va. – On August 17, a female suspect told police that while she was meeting a male suspect to purchase marijuana, the male suspect robbed her with a handgun. According to the report, police discovered that the female suspect was lying about the robbery because after giving him the money, the male suspect didn’t give her marijuana; both were arrested.

Here’s the latest from Prince William police:

Filing a False Police Report – On August 17th at 5:10PM, officers responded to the 13400 block of Longwood Manor Ct in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate an initial report of a robbery.

The victim, identified as Amanda TWOMEY, reported to police that she made arrangements to meet with the accused, Jackson CRISLER, in the above area to purchase marijuana.

Once there, the victim alleged that the accused pulled out a handgun and demanded money.

The accused reportedly took an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency before fleeing the area.

During the investigation, detectives from the Robbery Unit discovered that the victim voluntarily gave the accused money to purchase marijuana from another party.

The accused instead took the money without providing the victim with the marijuana.

After not receiving the product, the victim called police to report the robbery. Following the investigation, both parties were arrested.
