Burglars Try to Steal Cash from Veterans Memorial Park Pool

WOODBRIDGE, Va. - On August 20, Veterans Memorial Park was found burglarized after police discovered that intruders cut and took out a window screen from an unsecured window and tried to open the cash registers in a booth. According to reports, no money from the cash registers or items were stolen. 

Here’s the latest from Prince William police:

Commercial Burglary – On August 20th at 11:51AM, officers responded to Veterans Park located at 14300 Veterans Dr in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a burglary. Staff reported to police that the burglary occurred between 11:59PM on August 19th and 12:30AM on August 20th. The investigation revealed that entry was made into a cashiers booth located in the pool area through an unsecured window after the screen covering the window was cut and removed. Once inside, the suspects attempted to break into the cash registers inside the booth. No entry was made into the registers and no property was reported missing.
