Fire Breaks Out at Home in Lake Ridge
LAKE RIDGE, Va. – Occoquan-Woodbridge-Lorton Volunteer Firefighters responded to the report of a house fire at 1940 Pohick Creek [Court] in Woodbridge.
Initial units arrived on scene within minutes and reported smoke showing from the front door.
Firefighters quickly located a small fire in the kitchen and the bulk of the fire in a storage room in the basement. Firefighters had the fire under control within 15 minutes.
Fire & Rescue units from OWL VFD, Dale City VFD , PWC Department of Fire & Rescue, Quantico, and Fairfax County responded to the incident.
No one was injured. Several pets were saved. One family was displaced and Red Cross was called in to assist.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation by the Prince William County Fire Marshal’s office.
